Welcome to the Dreamtime 79 – brought to you by The Society For The Preservation of Australian Secret Histories.

This is our first public project, which features the story of a cult called the Dreamtime 79, who based themselves in the Australian outback from 1972 to 1982. During this time, cult founder & leader Ray “Millennium Ray” Author established the cult as his own private film-making studio.

Over their ten years as a cult, they are estimated to have produced over 30 strange and psychedelic films. In 1982 the studio compound and film reels within was destroyed by fire, and the cult mysteriously disappeared. Only one member returned to civilisation, bringing with her a collection of 13 film posters, created by Author to promote his films.

The S.P.A.S.H has been fortunate enough to secure this important historical collection, and we present it to you for the first time on this site.
